Japan vacation - Miyajima Island

we took the train to Miyajima Suchi and transfer to the Ferry, the Ferry took only 10mins to reached Mijayima Island. We are going to see the Otorii Gate and also the Itsukushima Shrine, a Shinto shrine.

A torii gate is a traditional Japanese gate found at the entrance of or within a Shinto Shrine. Doesn't the Otorii Gate stand in the sea ?? this is taken from the Ferry.

Another place where we saw deers. and of course, I have to pet them. Just love the deers :)

By the time we reached the Itsukushina Shrine area, it was low tide. so we decided to walk down to the sea bed and check out the enormous Torii gate.

we paid for the entrance fee 300yen and we went in. we saw a couple who just got married and they took the rickshaw. the shrine is one of the oldest Shinto shrine in Japan. it is in the UNESCO site. the location of the shrine is unique as its being built in the sea.

Daiganji Temple which is next to Itsukushima Temple, this temple is dedicated to Benzaiten, the goddess of eloquence, music and wealth.
