finally home again

i have been sick but it was nothing serious. i am coughing a bit and also have some phelgm too. but on thursday night i started having high fever and despite taking brufen it was not going down still. so in the end at 11.30pm we reached KK A&E.

we saw a nurse who took my temp and she told me i was still having a fever. soon it was my turn and the doctor who saw me, told my mummi that i would need to have a lung xray done and also a blood test too. 

mummi brought me to the xray room. i was terrified. i was crying and struggling to get off the xray bed. as mummi had to wear the lead dress, she couldnt manage to hold my hands and legs still. so the xray technician took out this foam mould and ask mummi to put me in. after that they strapped me up!!!!!! which makes me even more scared, despite being strapped up, the xray taken was rejected as i was moving. so in the end grandma came in to help. she hold my hands while mummi hold my legs, finally a xray was done. 

since the blood test needs 30-40mins for the results to be out. we had to wait and i was like getting so sleepy. grandma didnt allow me to sleep.  so finally, the A&E doc called my name. we went in and he told us that the xray showed my left lung got some phlegm and it was concentrated on the bottom. however, as my WBC was 47, he recommended that i need to be admitted. 

after mummi went to the admission and a porter brought us up to ward 75.  we are on waiting list for A class.  grandma and grandpa went home soon after as only 1 parent is allowed to stay over. 

so that night we(mummi and I) we slept at B1 with 3 other patients. but before i can go and lie down on my bed, the medical officer and 3 other nurse brought me to the treatment room and had inserted a plug on my left hand.  i was screaming in pain. mummi had to wait outside for me and she heard me screaming so badly.  after that, they brought me out, i saw mummi and that helped to calm me down.  

i must say i was crying a bit some time thru the nite and disturb the che2 opposite me. then the baby next to me also cried and he woke me up too. 

the nurse came in every hour to take my temp. this went on for 24hrs. the doc in charge came and see me at 9am. she explained to mummi that i have mild pneumonia due to the phlegm in the lung.  i would need to be on antibiotics and cough and fever med too. luckily, my fever had stopped sometime at  around 3am. 

we got our own room, as the little gal i met with gastro could go home. so we took over her room. here are some pictures of me taken a day later when i was feeling much beta.

thanks to some of the aunties and uncles who took some time off to come and visit me and of course thanks to the balloons too.  aunty kel who is the early bird came over at 9am :)  and brought some breakfast for poor mummi who slept with me in the same cot. wahahahaha.... luckily she can squeezed into it with me. 

dr vera said i can go home today and this morning the results shows that this bad bacteria, called microplasma was in my blood culture. but now the correct antibiotics is given to me to kill the baddies. i am officially on mc for 1 week. but i heard mummi said she will keep me out for school for 2 weeks to recover fully !
